Home-Ec Hacks: Dishwasher Tips to Load and Unload Faster

Hme-Ec Hacks - Dishwasher Tips - LorafiedDo you struggle with loading and unloading the dishwasher? Are you looking for more efficient ways to get it done? Then these dishwasher tips are for you!

LORAfied Dishwasher Tips 🍽

Always load back to front. That’ll be more efficient as the day goes on. If you can, turn your coffee cup at an angle. That’ll stop the dreaded bottom drip.

Bowls fit best on the top rack. On the bottom, face items toward the middle.

For flatware, categorize on the front end. Separating them may take a little getting used to but when you’re unloading, you’re going to love it.

When you’re ready to unload, start with the bottom first. This keeps plates dry just in case there’s anything on top full of water! Putting dishes away in groups also helps speed things up.

Here’s Why I Always Bake with Parchment Paper

Parchment Paper Kitchen tips - lorafiedMany of you have asked why I always bake with parchment paper. In this post, I’m going to share a few tips and reasons why!

One of the main reasons I use parchment paper is for health. If you’re heating anything, even on pans that say they’re non-toxic, the paper will create a nice little barrier. You don’t want anything from your baking sheets leeching into your food and at least this way, you can be sure your food isn’t touching any chemicals.

Bonus tip: Make sure you’re using unbleached parchment paper. It has no toxins at all and it’s super safe to heat. Plus, it can be composted!

Home-Ec Hacks: How to Make Your Bed Heavenly

How to Make Your Bed Heavenly - LORAFIEDHow do you make your bed? In this home-ec hack, I’m going to break down all the steps and show you how you can make your bed heavenly☁️

LORAfied Life Hack: How to Make Your Bed

Always start with a mattress pad and next, your fitted sheet. If yours has a tag, stick it in the lower right corner. The good side of your flat sheet goes face down. At the corner, simply pull, chop, and tuck. If you’re using an extra layer, add it now and make sure it lines up with that flat sheet.

For the duvet, remember: it buttons at your feet, not your teeth!

Adding a protector to your pillow is worth the extra step. Plus, turning your pillowcase inside out makes it super easy to slide on.

Sweet dreams!

The Only 3 Cooking Oils You’ll Ever Need in Your Kitchen

Cooking oils - LORAfiedAre you not sure sure what cooking oils you should use and when? In this post I’m going to share the only 3 you’ll need and why!

Cooking Oils Simplified

Olive Oil

cooking oils - lorafied

Shop the brand I use: Bragg Organic EVOO

You’ll want to reach for this one for uncooked foods for things you’re doing at low to medium temperature. You can also bake with it but once you get over maybe 350F, you’ll want to start switching to a different oil because olive oil can start going rancid.

Coconut Oil

Shop the brand I use: TJ’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

For when you’re in the medium range. It’s also great for sautéing and can actually step in and sub for butter if you’d like!

Avocado Oil

Shop the brand I use: Chosen Foods Pure Avocado Oil

The holy grail of cooking oils. The smoke point is so high – up to over 500 degrees! Plus, it’s great for both cooking and baking. Can’t go wrong with it!

Easy Sleep Hacks to Help You Relax Fast

Sleep Hacks: How to Relax Fast - LORAfiedAre you struggling fall asleep? Then you’ll love these sleep hacks! They’re sure to help get you relaxed for a better night’s rest.

LORAfied Sleep Hacks: How to Relax Fast

Tip #1: Use Magnesium Oil Spray before bed! I spray it around my neck area & you can spray it wherever you want! It penetrates into the body and helps you relax.

Tip #2: Grab a calming essential oil! I use the Uma Chamomile & Lavender Oil or the Vitruvi Organic Lavender Oil. Rub a little bit behind each ear, and this surprising area, in between the toes! Your feet have some of the largest pores in your body so that allows the essentials oil to seep in quicker and relax you faster!

Tip #3: Try a sleep mask. I use this Natural Silk Mask (with the eyelash detail.) They’re super comfortable and even come in a set with a pair of ear plugs!
