Have you noticed a difference in your Costco Kirkland brand coffee? There’s something pretty big brewing and the savings are HUGE! So who’s behind their NEW SECRET BEANS? I did some deep digging to find out!

Breaking news from the coffee section at Costco. Did you know Starbucks is no longer sourcing the Kirkland brand coffee? For YEARS, Kirkland has been sourced by Starbucks. Throwback to 2023, when the logo used to say sourced by Starbucks! That’s gone sis, so who’s sourcing the Kirkland brand coffee?!

If you take a look at the bag, all of the Kirkland logos say made my Enveritas. So, instead of Starbucks, it’s the same people who source Peet’s coffee! They also source some other pretty big names too, like Philz, Blue Bottle, and Stumptown.

Pricewise, it’s a shocking 500% difference. Per ounce, Kirkland coffee costs $0.32, while the name brands cost just under $2! It’s time to run to Costco for big savings on your coffee.

Starbucks Costco Dupes

??DUPE ALERT: COSTCO COPYCATS ?‍♀️ STARBUCKS ?️

When’s the last time you stopped at Starbucks for a quick snack? I’m a sucker for their egg bites, high in protein and easy to eat in the car, but I almost passed out when they rang them up recently – over 6 bucks with tax here in California ? WHAT?! Costco has an incredible dupe for those and several other Starbucks snacks, including Kid 2’s fav, the double-smoked bacon, cheddar & egg sandwich ?

This first Costco dupe is a winner! It’s the exact same double-smocked bacon cheddar and egg sandwich you can get at Starbucks. It even has the croissant bun! The Starbucks version costs $5.95, but this Costco dupe is only $2.

Next up is a fantastic dupe for the Starbucks egg bites. I wouldn’t be surprised if they came out of the same factory! The Starbucks version costs $5.75, but you can grab the identical Costco dupe for only $2.40.

If you’re a fan of the Madelines, pick ’em up here at Costco! At Starbucks, they cost 250% more than at Costco! At Starbucks, you pay $2.45 for 3 Madelines, but only $0.95 at Costco.

And forget about a copycat for the Starbucks pink drink because Costco sells the real deal! You pay 220% more if you buy it at Starbucks, so make sure to pick them up at Costco. For that price, we can get our own ice.

While this Costco dupe isn’t exact, it’s close enough! This sandwhich has turkey bacon instead of sausage but it pretty similar to the sausage, cheddar, and egg sandwich at Starbucks! This Costco version is only $1.33 instead of a whopping $4.95. For that price, I’ll take the healthier version!

Dollar Tree is carrying Royal Norfolk stoneware that looks just like a Pottery Barn set, but for a fraction of the price! Chic serveware for $1.50 a piece?! Yes, please! The simple 3-piece stoneware set (just $5 total) is selling for $24+ at Walmart and $27+ on Amazon. The classic blue patterned collection is a 12-piece dupe of a $129 Pottery Barn set, but you can grab the full set for just $15 total at Dolar Tree!

These $5 candles are giving major Voluspa vibes without the $30+ price tag. They’re the perfect affordable dupe! Grab a few now to elevate your space on a budget! And while you’re there, don’t skip the glass canisters with metal lids. These are everywhere from Target to Pottery Barn for way more. Amazon sells a set of 3 for $27… but Dollar Tree has them for just $1.50 each! Oh, and the black metal lanterns? Pottery Barn sells similar styles for $69, but Dollar Tree has them for only $5. Must-Know McDonald’s Drive-Thru Hacks!

🚘🍟 MCDONALD’S 🍔 DRIVE THRU HACKS 🤩

How often do you eat on the run in your car? I’m eating lunch on the road at least once a week, while it seems like my kids are eating in the car almost daily! As you know, I’m a neatnik, especially when it comes to my car, so I had to share these McDonald’s drive-thru hacks!

My first drive-thru hack: ask for your order in a cup instead! It’s a safer and much easier way to eat when you are on the road. And let’s take a look at the McFlurry lid. Did you know it also doubles as a sauce holder?! It’s seriously the perfect fit for your sauce to safely dip and eat on the go.

Now onto one of my favorite hacks of all time: turning your cup into a tray! Grab your food box and separate the two halves in between the straw of your drink. Use the extra room for fries, sauces, and any extra sides. The best part? You can pick up your drink to sip!

Make sure to grab the receipt. It might sound simple, but doing this increases your chance of getting the freshest food. They might think you’re a secret shopper!

And last but not least, here are some last minute tips. All over the internet, you’ll see folks driving through McDonald’s and getting a bag of ice for a deal. However, we weren’t able to get ice at any of our nearby McDonald’s. And if you forget to order your fries in a cup, bend over the lid and use as another great sauce holder.

Are you a croissant fan? How about a pizookie or a churro? Or maybe you’d like a mini option for this summertime favorite! This s’mores season, I’ve got you covered with 4 new s’mores hacks to try🤗

Introducing my FAB FOUR S’MORES:

Number one: I call this a s’moressant… the s’more croissant!

To make this guy, all you have to do is cut your chocolate croissant in half, stuff it with a toasted marshmallow, and enjoy! This is a great option for those of us who aren’t the biggest fan of graham cracker. I thought this one was my favorite, until I tried hack #2.

Hack number two: it’s like a chocolate chip cookie and a s’more had a baby. Move over, pizookie and hello s’mie!

Introducing the s’mire, the s’more pie! Start by using mini pie crust containers then add in your mini marshmallows and chocolate pieces. Finish it off by topping it with cookie dough and pop them in the airfryer for 10 minutes at 330F. You’ve got all of the layers of a s’more plus some gooey cookie goodness! The only issue is that this s’mie is just a little too easy to make.

Introducing my third s’more hack: the s’murro!

Start by tossing a chocolate bar in the sun for an easy hack to melt your chocolate. Next, it’s time to make the delicious s’more and churro combo. Simply add a churro piece to a stick, dip it in marshmallow fluff, and toast! I completely the s’murro by drizzling the melted chocolate on top and sprinkled on some graham cracker crumbs to finish. To avoid messes, add the toppings onto the s’murro over your fire!

I’m calling number four: the s’mini.

This s’more hack is great because it’s basically a mini s’more for one! You don’t even need a fire-pit for this one, just a lit non-toxic candle. All I did was toast the mini marshmallow over the candle, and add chocolate and cinnamon toast crunch pieces to finish. This made me wonder if cinnamon toast crunch cereal was actually invented for this hack!

Hack 1: Rice Krispie Treats with Fluff

As if regular s’mores couldn’t get any better, wait until you try this marshmallow fluff hack. Simply dip your Rice Krispie treat into your fluff, then roast it like a regular marshmallow. This combo tastes AMAZING!

Hack 2: Reese’s with Fluff

If you loved the Rice Krispie treat with fluff, just WAIT until you try this insane combo. I used frozen Reese’s peanut butter cups for this hack. For best results, put the frozen Reese’s on the stick, coat in fluff, then freeze again until it’s time to roast ’em. Putting them in the cooler works just as well. I promise you, this hack is worth the mess!

Hack 3: Chocolate Stuffed Rice Krispie Treats

If fluff isn’t your thing, I have a hack for you! Cut your Rice Krispie treat in half, place the chocolate right in the middle, then close it back up. AFTER stuffing the Rice Krispie treat with the chocolate, freeze or store in a cooler until it’s time to roast. This hack takes Rice Krispie treats to a whole new level.

Hack 4: Walking S’mores with Mini Chocolate Chips

Up next is my walking s’mores. Any cookie bag works for this hack. Simply add chocolate chips (I used mini) and your roasted marshmallow right into your cookie bag. The best part of this hack is that your hands stay MESS FREE!

Hack 5: Cereal S’mores

This one is similar to the walking s’mores, but we are going to use mini cereal cups instead! Add chocolate chips and your toasted marshmallow right into the cereal cup. Once again, your hands stay mess free, and it’s perfect for folks who don’t love graham crackers.

Hack 6: Mess Free Walking Scooby S’mores

If you are more of a purist but don’t love the mess, pick up a mini bag of those Scooby snacks. These are basically mini graham crackers! This hack is just like the walking s’mores hack: add your toasted marshmallow and mini chocolate chips to your Scooby snacks bag. It’s mess free but tastes just like a classic s’mores!

Must-Know Pasta Hack: Teflon Pasta

🍝🤯 PASTA HACKED: DID YOU KNOW?! 🤔 THE SECRET 🤫 BIG TEFLON Doesn’t Want Revealed 😳

How often do you eat pasta? It’s a staple in our house so this SHOCKED ME to the core! This took a lot of research before I was comfortable putting this out there. A quick google search will claim there’s no harm in eating pasta made on teflon, but I consulted with experts who say that’s simply not true and said there is reason to be concerned, cautioning against eating pasta coming off those machines. PFAS (teflon) “forever chemicals” can stay in our bodies for years and have been linked to terrifying health issues. Here’s a FAST & EASY way to avoid them!

Did you know that the majority of pasta sold is coming out of teflon-coated machines? Yup! The good news is: there’s a super easy way to tell if you are eating it and an even easier way to tell if you’re buying it.

When shopping, look for the word BRONZE on pasta packaging. The wording depends on the brand; some might go with “bronze drawn,” others with “bronze cut.” The bottom line is if you see the word bronze, that means they didn’t make the pasta on teflon.

Another giveaway is the texture of the pasta. The smoother the pasta is, the higher the chance that it was made on teflon. The rough texture on pasta indicates it was bronze cut (i.e no teflon)!

Note: Not all teflon free pasta companies have started labeling their pasta as “Bronze” cut yet, but I’m sure many more will start. A simple internet search will tell you which companies do. BTW: Bronze doesn’t mean expensive, it actually affordable I even found bronze cut pasta at Dollar Tree although it wasn’t labeled, the company making it only makes bronze cut 🤓

Aldi’s Dupes: Big Name Brands

🚨👯‍♀️ ALDI’S DUPES 🛒🤩

There’s something going on at Aldi’s and the name brand food giants aren’t happy! Aldi’s has some dupes that are SO GOOD they’re currently being sued over consumer confusion by the folks who own Oreo’s 😳 Honestly they have more copycats than I’ve seen in any other store! It would take me hours to cover them all so I’ve whittle it down to the stand outs for ya 📝

NOTE: from Chowhound.com – “Both Aldi and Trader Joe’s have ties to the Albrecht family” 😉 Trader Joe’s has AMAZING dupes, so it makes sense that Aldi’s does, too!

Secret Bargains: Budget Wedding Cakes from Costco, Sam’s Club and More

BUDGET WEDDING CAKES: COSTCO + WALMART + SAM’S CLUB + GROCERY STORE

When Scooter and I were married almost 19 years ago our cake cost $150. back then! Today, the average American wedding cake runs between $300. – $700. But it doesn’t have to! You can get a STUNNING CAKE for less than $70. bucks from some surprising places!

I ran to Sam’s Club, Walmart, my local grocery store, and Costco and placed the same order at each place: a white wedding cake with buttercream frosting. Here are my thoughts on each cake!

Let’s start with Sam’s Club. This cake is $58 and serves 58 guests. This cake was BEAUTIFUL and everything you expect from a wedding cake. They also made it super easy to transport the cake safely.

Up next is the grocery store. I went to my local grocery store Ralph’s that is owned by Kroger. This cake is $30 and serves 36 guests. This cake required a little at home assembly, but for only $30, doing the touchups is worth it. The frosting on this cake was amazing! Now you can officially say you made your own wedding cake!

Next up… Walmart! This cake is $68 and serves 68 guests. This cake was a stunner and looked most like my own wedding cake! I noted this cake was a little bit more dense in texture. Just like Sam’s Club, they made it super easy to transfer this cake safely.

Last but not least is Costco! This cake is $16 and serves 16 guests. Here, they actually only sell this one size and it was by far the smallest of the bunch. I had some difficulties with the cake before even getting out of the door, as the cake didn’t come with a crumb coat and the lid was too short for the cake! Despite it all, the winner for best taste goes to Costco.

My final verdicts:

AWARDS:
? Best in show: Sam’s Club
? Best Tasting: Costco
? Best Frosting: Ralph’s grocery store (owned by Kroger’s)
? Easiest to transport: Sam’s Club & Walmart Tie

? Most custom options: Ralph’s was very willing to try and duplicate the photo we brought in.

NOTE: If I were having a wedding today, here’s what I would do:
Buy the Sam’s Club or Walmart cake for the photos then order sheet cakes from Costco to be cut in the back and served to your guests. You will save a boatload!

After filming, we hopped in the car and headed to a local shelter to donate the leftover cakes!
