Champagne and Bubbly Hacks to Use on New Year’s Eve

champagne hacks

Don’t let that bubbly go bad! Whether it’s sparkling wine or sparkling apple juice, here’s the best way to pour it, save it and add some glitz to your celebration at the same time!🥂🍾✨

champagne hacks

No matter what you are pouring, make sure to pour it at an angel (kind of like you are pouring a beer). It is going to help with the taste, the aroma, and those bubbles.

Next, ice is the most effective way to keep your champagne bottle nice and cold… why not make it look pretty?! Grab some ice cube trays and some glitter. Edible glitter here works too, but it is pricey! If you aren’t going to eat the ice cubes, I would stick to regular glitter!

Finally you don’t need to have a fancy stopper when it comes to keeping leftover champagne fresh! Plastic wrap with a rubber band is the perfect and frugal way to keep your bubbly fresh.

How have you been storing your leftover bubbly? I love the ease of the plastic wrap and it’s one less trinket in the drawer. Scooter is a big gadget fan, so he prefers that stopper thingy 😉 Comment and lmk which one you prefer!

Have you heard about the NEW and more limited gift return policies this year? This year I have one store saying 10 days from the day it shipped! Can you believe that? Here’s what you need to know if you have something to exchange or return…with or without a receipt!

gift returns

First, you want to read the receipt. Gift return policies are tougher than ever this year, so you you don’t miss the deadline! Make sure you have a tag still on your clothes, and if you don’t have a receipt- expect store credit. For electronics, don’t open that box!

If you are returning by mail, look inside to find an additional self-sealing tab. Remember to turn it inside out and just use the package again! All you do it secure it and send it off.

gift returns

With those shorter gift return windows, you made need to go in person. If you don’t have the receipt and you don’t want to ask for it, take your ID with you! It’s worth a shot, and if it doesn’t work, you can always regift!

The rush is on for those returns, so make sure to use these hacks to ensure you get your money back this holiday season!

champagne cupcakes

Any recipe that starts with champagne is guaranteed to be delicious! These 4 ingredient Champagne cupcakes are fancy yet so easy at the same time… here’s how to make ’em! Plus, the alcohol bakes out so all ages can eat these 🤗

LORAfied Champagne Cupcakes🧁🍾

(Makes 24!)

First, it’s time to make the batter. It is seriously so easy- add all the ingredients to a large bowl and mix until well blended. Make sure to tilt your glass when pouring your alcohol of choice to make sure it doesn’t bubble over.

Next, preheat your oven to 350F. Make sure to add rice under your cupcake liners to prevent burning. Bake 12-15 mins.

Note: Don’t worry that the batter is thin. The alcohol bakes out and makes these guys nice and fluffy!

Champagne Frosting🥂

INGREDIENTS:
1 c. butter, softened
4 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. heavy cream
1/2 tsp. lemon zest (optional)
1/4 c. *champagne, Prosecco or sparkling wine

For my champagne frosting, start by adding everything to a bowl. Whip until well combined and fluffy.
You can leave the champagne out if you’d like. It comes out to less than a 1/2 tsp. of bubbly per frosted cupcake. The actual cupcake won’t have any alcohol content!

If you’d like to skip the champagne altogether, you can use ginger ale, sparkling apple cider or sparkling grape juice. The taste will be a bit sweeter with one of those options. I use Prosecco in this recipe because it’s the most budget friendly 🤗

How to Throw a Holiday Party on a Budget

holiday party

Let’s throw a drink and dessert holiday party. And guess what? This holiday party can be thrown together all on a budget. It only costs $5 per person! Plus, no cooking or baking required!🎄🍷🍫

holiday party
holiday party

Let’s start with the wine! For this party, we are going with boxed. There’s this stigma around boxed wines but the only differences really are the packaging and of course the savings.

Let’s compare equally ranked wine. For the price of two bottles, you are going to get four out of the box. The average guess will drink 3 glasses per 3 hour party.

Now, for the cutest dessert bar you’ve ever seen! Here’s how to put together my no-fire-needed s’mores buffet! I started with some marshmallow fluff and some chocolate spread. Now, add any toppings of your choice and let your guests go to town. It’s not only fun, but it only
costs less than $1 per serving!

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season, and stick around for more money-saving hacks!

My Fancy and Frugal Gingerbread House Hack

gingerbread house

Happy Holidays! This is my go-to holiday decorating hack to make these easy and cheap gingerbread houses look expensive. All you need is some leftover Halloween candy, spray paint, and some glitter to top!

gingerbread house

First, run and grab your old Halloween candy. The colors do not matter for this hack. Skip the royal icing and grab your hot glue gun to place the candy on the gingerbread house. It holds a lot better and dries much faster.

We aren’t done yet! Once you spray paint these guys, you aren’t turning back. They end up looking so elegant that it’s hard to believe all you did was spray paint from candy!

To finish, top these beautiful houses with glitter. They look just like jewelry boxes!

My Quick and Easy Gingerbread Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake

gingerbread cinnamon roll

This recipe is so good it’s hard to describe! It’s like the gingerbread cheesecake had a baby with a cinnamon roll. It even has a cinnamon roll crust! It may sound fancy, but this gingerbread cinnamon roll cheesecake is super easy and delicious.

LORAfied Gingerbread Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake
INGREDIENTS:
2 cans of cinnamon rolls (large, 5 count)
32 oz. cream cheese (4 packages at room temperature)
1 3/4 cups brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
6 eggs (room temperature)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
Caramel sauce drizzle, to taste

DIRECTIONS:
Begin by preheating your oven to 325F. To prepare the crust, spray a 9×13 pan and press the cinnamon rolls on the bottom to cover.

The delicious filling happens in just one bowl! Start with your cream cheese and brown sugar and fluff those together.

Next add your eggs, a little sour scream, and then of course the spices to the mixture!

Once those guys are combined, you are going to pour the mixture on top of the rolls like a blanket and follow it with that caramel swirl.

Bake for 55 mins, up to 1 hr 15 mins! This cheesecake will bake faster in a metal pan and slower in a glass one. Let the cheesecake fall before cooling and cutting.

Note: It’s really puffy when it comes out then immediately falls. Don’t worry, this is supposed to happen!

My Quick and Easy Holiday Tree Decorating Hacks

tree decorating hack

It’s that time of the year! Introducing the tree decorating hacks I can’t live without. You’ll learn the quickest way to string your lights! Plus, the answer to exactly how many bulbs and lights you need. Go grab your hair iron and a bag of rice, you’ll need those, too 🤗

🎄TREE DECORATING HACKS🎄
tree decorating hack

This is the quickest way to string your lights! Instead of going around the tree, drape your lights vertically. This is how you can get better coverage while saving some time. You are going to need about 100 lights per vertical foot. Don’t forget to tuck your lights behind the branches to hide!

tree decorating hack

Onto the bulbs! Start with your largest guys first and then fill in with the smaller ones. If you are wondering how many bulbs you need, a six-foot tree is going to need about 25 bulbs per vertical foot. The smaller trees only need about 15 bulbs per foot.

Did you know that flat irons aren’t just for hair? They are great for zhuzhing up old bows making them look brand new.
