Easy Dishwasher Hack for Sparkling Clean Dishes

I’m sharing 2 super easy and simple ways to make your dishes shine without toxic chemicals! Important note: only use 1 of these at a time, do not mix these 2 together!

Dishwasher Hack 1:
Add hydrogen peroxide in your rinse dispenser. It’ll help boost your detergent!

Dishwasher Hack 2:
1/4-1/2 Cup white vinegar in the top shelf and run like normal!

Note: If you’re worried about using vinegar in your machine, just make sure the white vinegar you’re using is 5% acidity or lower, most basic store brands are. I’ve never had a problem and these work for me!

Easy Low Carb Diet 5 Ingredient Hot Chicken Hack

Here’s a super tasty 5 ingredient hot chicken hack! It’s budget friendly, low carb and easy to make!

LORAfied Low Carb Hot Chicken Hack

Ingredients:

2 pkg boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Approx. 1 1/3 cup nut coating mix, I used a 5 oz. pkg from @diamondnuts
1/4 – 1/2 cup of cheese crisps, (or pork rinds) I used 1 pkg of @mrscubbisons
Note: use rolling pin on bag or food processor, turning to crumbs before measuring.
1 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. Spicy hot rub, any brand

Directions:

Preheat over to 425F
Place parchment paper on baking sheet and top with baking rack.
Mix mayo and 1 Tbsp of rub together, pour over chicken, turning to coat.
Stir together nut mix, cheese crisps & 1 Tbsp of rub.
Dip chicken, one piece at a time, in coating.
Place on baking rack.
Bake approx. 25 minutes, or until done. Check at 20 mins, as ovens vary.

Serve on low carb buns, I use Smart Buns or Unbun and Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce!

Candy Ice Cream Hack: Pop Rocks Sundae

Here’s a fast, fun & budget friendly candy ice cream hack! Get ready for a mouth full of candy sparklers! The entire family will love this one. The best part is you only need 3 ingredients! Note: can be made low carb/keto with keto ice cream & keto chocolate. 1/2 packet of Pop Rocks only has 5 net carbs!

LORAfied Candy Ice Cream Hack

Pop Rocks Magic Shell Ingredients:

1 cup chocolate, any kind
2 Tbsp coconut oil
Pop Rocks Candy

Directions:

Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth. Pour over ice cream and top with Pop Rocks.
The magic shell hardens in 30 seconds, make sure to sprinkle fast!

Fast and Easy Last Minute Grill Tips & Tricks

Today, I’m sharing a couple of “eggcellent” grill tips & tricks with you! These are great to use last minute!

Tip 1

Use an egg carton to start your grill fast. Just vent the ends and the top and fill with charcoal.

Tip 2

Place your raw eggs on the grill for about 10-15 minutes. Then, place them in an ice bath and peel!

Easy Burger Grilling Hacks to Make the Best Burgers

My hubby Scooter spilled the beans on his tried and true burger grilling secrets!

Burger Blend:

1 pound of meat
1 TBS of seasoning, we use McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning

Start with the pound of meat and added seasoning, make into equal patties and do that important thumbprint. The piece of ice in the middle keeps the burgers moist while they’re grilling! Worcestershire sauce does the same thing.

Note: ice cube only goes on once, on the raw side. Flip burger when ready, even if ice isn’t fully melted yet.

Home-Ec Hacks: Quick Box Cake Mix Tricks

Here are some of my favorite quick and easy box cake mix tricks. These also work with GF mixes! Do any one of these things or a combo depending on what you’re trying to achieve:

Thicker & richer:

1 – 2 extra eggs (2 extra egg whites for white cake mixes)

Homemade taste:

Add 1 tsp. vanilla to pump up the flavor
and/or

Melted butter instead of oil

More moist:

Use milk instead of water
and/or
Add a small box of instant pudding

Tender:

2 T. – 1 cup Mayonaise to make your cake more tender & enhance flavor

For chocolate cake mixes:

Coffee instead of water to really amp up the flavor

Laundry Hack: Easy DIY Healthy Bleach

Here’s a budget friendly laundry hack that will make your clothes look and smell better without all the toxic chemicals!

Easy DIY Healthy Bleach

Ingredients:

1 gallon jug
2 cups 3% hydrogen peroxide (the basic kind you get at the store)
3/4 cup lemon juice
10 drops or so of essential oil, I used lemon

Directions:

Pour peroxide and lemon juice into jug, fill to the top with water and add essential oil, if desired. Add 1 cup to your bleach dispenser per load or once machine is filled with water. This laundry hack works great on whites! I also use in my mixed loads, but since clothing can vary, please do a test on your colors and darks before using. Avoid pouring directly on clothing. Note: this is NOT intended to be used as a disinfectant.

2 Ingredient Orange Cinnamon Roll Hack

Here’s my super easy 2 ingredient orange cinnamon roll hack. These are insanely delicious and easy to make!

LORAfied Orange Cinnamon Roll Hack

Ingredients:

1 can 8 count canned cinnamon rolls
4 oranges, cut in half, orange segments removed

Directions:

Place orange half’s in cupcake pan then nestle 1 roll in each half. Top with orange zest. Bake at 400F for about 15 mins.

Glaze Ingredients:

Packet of frosting from can
1 Tbsp. orange juice from removed segments
Big pinch of orange zest
Mix together and drizzle over rolls

Easy 4 Ingredient Ice Cream Cake Hack

Here’s a 12 layer, no bake ice cream cake hack you need to try! Only 4 ingredients and you can throw it together in 10 minutes!

LORAfied Ice Cream Cake Hack

Ingredients:

1 carton whipped topping, I like @truwhip it’s a healthier option
12 ice cream sandwiches, like @nestle
Chocolate sauce of choice, I used peanut butter fudge flavor @stonewallkitchen
Candies of choice, I used mini @mmschocolate

Directions:

Layer in this order in 8×8 pan: 1/3 of whipped topping, 6 ice cream sandwiches, 1/3 of whipped topping, Heavy drizzling of Chocolate sauce, Candies.

Another layer of 6 ice cream sandwiches, 1/3 of whipped topping, and finish with sprinkling of candies. Freeze until set.

Bed Sheet Hack Alert! Quick Fix For Fitted Sheets

How often do you get your fitted sheet on the right way the first try? I honestly feel like I’ve won something when I nail it straight out the gate! If you’re tired of the bed sheet battle, here’s a hack that will make sheet changing day a little easier!

First, you’re going to have to struggle with the bed sheet one last time to get it on. Once you finally get it on the right way, grab a sharpie. That’s all we need for some sheet sanity!

One of your corners is going to have a tag. Find that little guy and mark it. For me, I literally write, “RIGHT CORNER” and that does the trick!

Home-Ec Hacks: The Best Way to Boil Eggs

How do you boil eggs? Are they ever overcooked or undercooked? And what’s the best way to peel them? This home ec hack will help!

Grab a pot with the lid. Put your eggs in first, then the water, filling about an inch above.

Now, cook on high until it boils like this. Cover and remove from heat.

10 minutes later, drop them into an ice bath. It will shock the shells, making them easier to peel. Extra tip: drop into a glass, cover the top and shake! The peel comes right up.

Quick Tips:
8 mins = softer yolk
10 mins = firm, but still tender (most preferred)
12 mins = more firm

Note: fresh eggs can be harder to peel, so make sure you put those in an ice bath for easier peeling.

Low Carb Diet Onion Ring Hack Using Only 2 Ingredients

If you’re looking to enjoy onion rings without feeling guilty, this is the onion ring hack for you! I wrangled Kid 2 to help with this one to show just how easy these are!

Low Carb Onion Ring Hack

Ingredients:
1 pkg shredded cheese (any kind)
1 small onion, sliced into rings, you won’t need the entire onion, make them as thick or thin as you’d like.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400F. Take half of the cheese and place in donut rings. Top each with a slice of onion. Then, sprinkle with Magic Seasoning, if desired. Top with remaining cheese.

Bake 10-15 minutes, depending on your oven, mine took 15. Enjoy!
