Introducing my slow cooker pork loin recipe with apples and onions! I know this one sounds wacky, but it’s truly delicious! And SO EASY! It is my take on the popular combo, pork chops and apple sauce. My girlfriend Susan told me about this delicious combo and boy was she right! If you aren’t a pork fancy, poultry also works great.
One Pot Wonder: Pork Loin Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 pork loin, pork tenderloin, turkey loin or chicken breasts
2 green apples, sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 stick butter, cut into slices
1/4 c honey
1/4 c balsamic vinegar
2 tsp. Magic Seasoning (recipe on LORAfied.com)
Sprinkling of cinnamon
Sprinkling of dried thyme
Making this dish is truly SO easy and delicious. In your slow cooker, layer the ingredients in this order:
onions, apples, butter, meat, cinnamon, thyme, honey and balsamic vinegar. Cook on low 6 hours and out comes magic! The pork lion is perfectly cooked, and the apples and onions are to die for.
