Are you looking for a simple, quick and affordable baking hack? This is it: Cheesy Mexican Beer Bread. No yeast, no kneading, no rising!
3 cups pre-sifted self-rising flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 1/2 cups Mexican shredded cheese
1/2 cup green onions chopped fine
Small can of mild chilies, drained (4 oz)
1 – 12 oz beer, any kind. Can sub seltzer
Place all ingredients, except the beer, in a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Slowly add the beer, and stir just enough to make sure everything is combined, you don’t want to overstir.
Pour into prepared loaf pan then bake at 375F for 45-50 minutes. Note: you can make this Mexican beer bread GF and DF, too. Check out my recipe for the easiest DIY self-rising flour!
